BIO:
John Kheir, MD is a staff physician in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He has developed and tested methods for the intravenous administration of oxygen using gas-filled microparticles. He is now the principal investigator of a lab which is further developing this concept and testing it in a variety of animal models. John earned his BS in Chemistry and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia. A residency in Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital was followed by fellowships in Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital.
