About Gabriel Otte

Gabriel (Gabe) Otte is the CEO and Co-Founder of Freenome, a health technology company reinventing disease management through systematized early detection and intervention. Freenome’s goal is, in Gabe’s words, to bring “accurate, accessible and non-invasive disease screenings to doctors to proactively treat cancer and other diseases when they can be treated” Simply put: to detect diseases earlier when they can be cured. Gabe previously worked as a software engineer at both Apple and the Glyde corporation. He earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry and computational biology from Cornell and did graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania.

About This Idea

The team at Freenome, lead by CEO and Co-founder Gabriel Otte, is working to change the way we approach diagnosis. Instead of waiting until patients are symptomatic, they have developed blood-based screenings for a range of diseases, including cancer.
