ABOUT JILL

Jill Vialet believes in the power of play to bring out the best in every kid. In 1996, Jill launched her non-profit organization Playworks in two Berkeley, California elementary schools. The Playworks program fosters inclusive school environments that allow kids to thrive and discover their own superpowers. By the fall of 2014, Playworks will serve 450 schools in 24 U.S. cities and provide training to an additional 1000 schools around the country. Asked for a memoir about these experiences, Jill ended up writing an imaginative young adult novel entitled Recess Rules.
